Louis Durham, 22, of 913 Hubbard Street, Monday was reported in jail awaiting trial for the stabbing of Willie Hood, of 900 B-Smith Street, Sunday afternoon.

Hood was stabbed in his back three times and then shot at by his attacker, arresting officers said in their report to the Chief of Police. A bullet fired from the pistol is said to have struck Miss Teressa Bugle, 25, of 379 Mary Street.

She was treated at Grady Hospital.

The victim was stabbed near the corner of McDaniel and Mary Streets.

Police listed Napoleon Wilson of 997 Hubbard Street as an eye-witness to the affray.

Detectives ordered Hood placed under arrest should he recover from the stab wounds.
