HAY SHIPMENTS CONTINUE LOW AS PRICE POOR

Truck shipments of alfalfa hay from Imperial county continued to fall off during the past week, according to the weekly report of the federal state market news service.

As Imperial Valley growers were reluctant to accept bids of less than $10.00 per ton baled at the ranch.

Alfalfa markets held largely unchanged at the principal points during the week with trading continuing of narrow volume.

Most grades of hay were quoted from unchanged to 50 cents per ton lower.

Trading was light and irregular.
