Every member of the family.

There are children of all ages. In some cases there are two and three children of one family who need foster homes. In the Z family there are three children, two girls and one boy who are sincerely devoted to each other. A, the older girl is 14 years old and is in the 10th grade in high school: she is an above average student taking leadership in most situations. At the moment she is anxious to improve her sewing technique, so, she encourages her friends to sew and all make comparisons of the finished product as to neatness. This has been a busy summer for her she has been teaching handicraft to her younger playmates and she has done some cooking when she has had the opportunity. Then, of course, she has to keep up with her reading. Much of her time has been spent in looking after the welfare of her sister and brother who are younger.
B-- her 12--year-old brother, a ninth grade student. is a patrol leader at his school. He is well mannered and quiet. Manual arts attract him, but he doesn't have the opportunity to build the little things he wants so much. The arts have not escaped him. his heart is set on being a member of the band at his school this year. His stay at camp this summer gave him his greatest chance to work with his hands: he loved that experience.
Eight-year-old X-- the younger sister of the Z-- family is in the eighth grade and is an average student. Although she does a good job of taking care of herself she depends on her older sister A-- for, whom she has great love.
These three children are held to each other by a strong bond of mutual love and understanding. They too, like Baby D--, need a home that will offer love and affection, and they in turn will give likewise. They would like to visit with a host and hostess for a while as boarders. Just as in the case of Baby D- their clothes are brought by the Department and medical care is furnished. If there is transportation to school, the Department furnishes that.
When children are placed in foster homes or when they are boarders, the Department pays a monthly sum to the hostess or foster parents and provides medical care, clothes and school transportation for the children.
Further information may be had by calling in person at the Department of Public Welfare and talking with Miss Zahner. Mrs. Johnson or Mr. Ellis, at Pryor and Hunter Streets
All of the children may be adopted Each child is given tests to prove normalcy before he may be adopted
