Full Text

The following may be implicitly relied on.

From a Correspondent at Washington.

“I hear it whispered here, that John Quincy Adams, our ambassador to Russia, has declined the appointment of the Judgeship which was conferred on him at the last session; this has been a matter of astonishment with administration men, who can discover that he is looking up in the political world, and that 'noble promises may again rise up in Boston.' This refusal will produce some embarrasment, as many former applicants will again enforce their rights at the palace."
