Youth Dances Successful

The Friday night youth dances being held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post home in Clayton continue to be a great success. They were interrupted only for a short time during the summer.

The dances are sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of the post, assisted by the members of the post.

John G. Cooper is the regular "disc jockey". A costume Halloween dance is being planned for Oct. 26 with prizes to be awarded in the following categories: most original; best dressed; most comical.

The committee in charge is attempting to arrange for a "live combo" to supply music for this particular affair.

Youth not over 14 years of age are invited to attend the dances each Friday night from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Parents are also welcome to attend.

There is no admission charge and refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary.
