THE WORLD'S FAIR. A letter from Mr. Riddle to the Executive Committee, says that it has been officially announced that the exhibition will close on the 11th of October. He says that it is probable that but few of the goods will be sold, and makes the inquiry how are the goods to be sent home? The contributions of nearly all the countries are to be returned free of cost, and he suggests to the Secretary of the Navy to take measures to have the goods belonging in the United States shipped to New York, free of expense.
