Full Text

A rumour having got abroad that Mr. Richie was negotiating to sell out the Union, to Mr. Croswell of the Albany Argus, we clip from the Union of the 15th inst., the following paragraph which gives the go by to said rumour.

"A Washington correspondent of the New York Herald throws again into circulation the gratuitous and absurd report that we are "going to sell out to the Crosweil people." We have no idea of selling out to them or to any one. We have not the most distant idea of leaving the "Union." We feel greater confidence in our position than we ever entertained. The "Union" is flourishing, and a free and generous people have rallied round it with more enthusiasm than ever."
