LOS ANGELES, April 22.--Indignant owners of dogs, cats and other pets, protesting "against atrocious and needless killing of pet animals on owners' premises," will meet in protest session tomorrow night.
Foot and mouth quarantine guards have been going outside of their province, according to members of the animal defense league, which has called the meeting, and have been shooting down Rover and Tabby even when spied snoozing in the sunlight out in the yard.
There are lots of folk all heated up about it, and the right of household pets to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, even in these quarantine days, will be strongly advocated at the meeting.
