Guerrilla War. - The Mexican war seems fast settling down into a mere scene of plunder, rapine and murder. Gen. Taylor has issued orders to levy contributions upon the inhabitants in retaliation for the robberies committed upon our provision trains and outposts. But robberies continue to be perpetrated by the natives. On the other hand we have accounts of 40 Mexicans hung by our troops. It is said that the robbers of Puebla, and their name is legion, have received regular licenses to rob and murder on the road, and they have commenced even upon their own people. All communications between Jalapa & Puebla have thus been interrupted.
