Thompsonville Residence,
Thompsonville, Conn., July 25.-Following two revolver shots heard early
today, the body of Giovanni Pasqual-
icchio was found in the rear of James
Tria's house on North street with a
bullet hole in the abdomen. The bul-
let had entered the abdomen and gone
through the body, coming out in the
middle of the back. Tria and another
Italian Thomas Fairmont, were arrest-
ed, and according to their story the
shooting was done by Antonio Palmis-
sanio, Fairmont claiming that he was
looking out of the window as the shots
were fired. The four men had been
playing cards and quarrelled. Pas-
qualicchio and Palmissanio continued
the fight in the back yard of Tria's
home, where the shooting occurred.
Whether both shots were fired by the
same one or whether each fired is not
known.
Deputy Coroner W. A. Leete will hold
an inquest tomorrow and Tria and
Fairmont are being held as witnesses.
Palmissanio made good his escape and
his whereabouts are unknown.
The murdered man was 23 years old
and in the employ of the Hartford
Carpet company for two years, though
for the past four months he has been
out of employment. Palmissanio has
been here for about four months. Both
are unmarried.
