ESCAPED CONVICT IS KILLED BY FLA. CITY GROCER

Freddie Judge, 32 year-old Tampa man serving a total of 57 and one half years imprisonment was shot to death at Florida City early Friday less than 12 hours after he fled a state prison gang at NW 27th ave. and 48th st.

Judge was shot to death at 3 a.m. Friday in the Camp and Loftin grocery by N. B. Camp, who investigated a sound of breaking glass and noises in the store.

High said that Mrs. Camp first heard the noise and awakened her husband who advanced into the store with the shotgun. Camp fired once and Judge fell but regained his feet. Camp fired the second barrel, instantly killing Judge.
