Road Contracts Let For Over 300 Miles
At the regular meeting of the Hopkins County Fiscal Court held in Madisonville last Friday and Saturday 150 sections of county roads, something over 300 miles, were let to various bidders. Resolutions were adopted designating the Madisonville and Hopkinsville road as the official road to be improved under the State aid plan and this road will be paved as soon as the contractors can get to it. This road leads through this city, Mortons Gap and Nortonville, and these three places are making a strong fight for the Dixie Bee Line to come over this route, which is the most feasible and direct route from Evansville to Springfield, Tenn.
