ACTIVE PROGRAM LISTED
FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Plans for Meetings During 1932.
1933 Made at Monday Session
A number of activities for 1932-33
have been announced by the Garrett
County Council of Religious Education
following a meeting of the executive
committee held Monday evening.
The proposed program includes four
standard leadership training schools
at Grantsville, Kitzmiller, Friendsville
and Oakland; an adult rally in the
Maryland Theatre, Oakland, on Sunday
afternoon, October 30, at 2:00 o'clock;
a children's division institute in March
or April; a young people's conference
in April or May, and a county convention
in September.
The standard teacher training school
for Grantsville will begin on Monday,
November 7, with Miss Kate Bannatyne
as teacher in a "A Study of the Pupil."
Oakland, Kitzmiller and Friendsville
schools will be conducted on an
intermittent schedule, two nights in
each place each week for three weeks,
beginning at Oakland on Sunday evening,
October 30. Friendsville will begin on
November 1, and Kitzmiller on November
3.
Three courses are to be offered at
Oakland, a study of the pupil, taught
by Rev. Frank B. Herzel, of Westernport;
a study of the prophets, to be taught by
Mr. Delbert Davis, of Oakland, and a
specialization course. Courses offered
in other places in the county will be
announced in The Republican next week.
