NEW YORK —(C)— Following receipt of a letter from South Trimble, Clerk of The House of Representatives, confirming the newspaper reports that the Republican National Committee filed a report of expenses listing “Floyd J. Calvin, New York, N. Y. $125 for Press Service.” Floyd J. Calvin, president and editor of Calvin's Newspaper Service addressed Goodspeed, treasurer, the Republican National Committee, 41 East 42nd Street, New York, N. Y.:
“Dear Sir:
“I am advised by Mr. South Trimble, Clerk of the House of Representatives, that your committee has filed a report with him showing payment to me on September 21, 1936, the sum of $125 for Press Service.
“I know absolutely nothing of such a payment, and request that you trace the check or the payment and advise me of your findings at once.”
