Mr. Robinson: I know you too, have witnessed the great performance of this truly wonderful woman, but I want you to know just how proud I was to be in this vast audience that filled our auditorium Saturday night. And, oh, how my chest swelled when I thought that a dark face was the cause of the presence of these peoples. I have felt the pride of, being a Negro when talking about our great race leaders, but the pride at being a black man's child at this recital almost equaled the pride of being able to call Jesus my Savior, too. What I mean, it was a sacred pride that I felt. But most of all-I rejoice in being able to express my viewpoints in the Northwest's outstanding Negro paper. Thank you so much, you have been very kind to me. Incidently, Miss Anderson asked me to forward this article to her after publication. She also remembered that I had lunch with her at her hotel last year and I was happy that she remembered me. Also did her manager, Mr. Jasse, who gave in to my insistent requests for an interview for your paper. Again, thank you so much.
