Full Text

Violent whigs, with unforgiving dispositions, says a correspondent, may say what they will about pseudo friends in Nova Scotia; but it is impolitic, if not illiberal, to ridicule them as we commonly do. In the spring months we are generally visited by numbers of them, but they are neither spies nor emissaries; they come to buy our goods, for which they give ready money; and as it is much wanted in these states, a prudent trade with them ought to be encouraged by every reasonable means. A Mr. Anderson, from Shelburne, who came here a few weeks ago, brought with him 500 round guineas, which he expended in this city before he left it.
