Yesterday being Whitsunday, the same was observed at court. At noon his Majesty, preceded by the Heralds and Pursuivants, went to the Chapel Royal, and heard a sermon preached by his Grace the Archbishop of York, from the fifth chapter of the first Epistle of St. Peter: 'Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.' Lord Cadogan carried the Sword of State. His Majesty afterwards received the sacrament from the hands of the Bishop of London, assisted by the sub dean, and made the usual offering.

Yesterday her Majesty heard divine service and received the sacrament from the hands of one of his Majesty's chaplains in waiting, in her own apartments at her palace.
