Full Text

GENERAL MINA.—The following letter to the Editor of the London Courier shews that this Hero is poor in means, though rich in honor;—

22, Burton Crescent, Jan. 6, 1825.

Sir: In the list of those who have subscribed towards the relief of the Spanish and other Emigrants, that you inserted in your paper of yesterday, I see my name with surprise. I assure you, in all sincerity, that I have subscribed nothing to the above object; not because my sentiments would not incline me to do so, but because my circumstances do not permit me.

I hope that you will have the goodness to state this in your first number, for which I shall feel grateful to you,

I am, &c.

ESPOZ Y MINA.
