PET PARADE ATTRACTS MANY ENTRANTS

Dogs, cats, ducks, guinea pigs, a white rat, rabbits, pigeons, and a hen with a brood of chicks participated Saturday afternoon in the pet parade held at the wading pool in the Burnside Avenue playground. There were 53 entries in all and the judges, consisting of Mrs. Bertha Sutter, Mrs. Marion Cox and Mrs. Viola Anderson, chose the following as prize winners:

Cutest pet—a puppy named "Pal" owned by Daniel Calano, 96 Phelps Street.

Oddest pet—a duck named "Donald", owned by Sam McGill of 595 Goodwin Street.

Best behaved—a cat called "Blondie", owned by Nancy Rowe of 109 Central Avenue.

Most attractive combination of child and pet—Edgar Beaumont of 65 Olmsted Street and his collie, "Trixie".

The prizes were provided by the Park Department and by Mrs. Anderson.
