European Affairs.—A large Polish army of reserve is quietly reposing on the banks of the Vistula.
Is the honor of storming Constantinople reserved for the Poles (the hereditary enemies of the Turks.) with Constantine, the ruler that is to be of the yet to-be conquered Ottoman empire, at their head?
Will Austria be appeased by the permission given her by to execute her long cherished designs against Italy. and to become sole mistress of the whole Adriatic shores? Will France be quiet in the hope of seeing the power of England, her hereditary foe, menaced in Hindostan, via Turkey and Persia?
Will she be more disposed to consent, by receiving permission to colonize some of the isles of the Mediterranean I Will the ear of Prussia. (the firm friend of Russia} be a particular inducement for Austria to share the spoil instead of opposing the spoiler? And will all or any of these events take place without the interference of. England because she is too poor to go to war, and because the Continental Powers think that she has interfered with their affairs long enough ? Or will England, Austria and France, as is generally supposed, resist the southward march of the invader ?
