Full Text
Geo. D. Todd, principal of the Iona school, attended the institute held here Friday, and on Saturday morning he made a pleasant call at this office to subscribe for the official paper, and to say that he has a warm spot in his heart for the Grove City and its people.
Mr. Todd said that when he was informed that Blackfoot was going to dine the bunch of over a hundred teachers he thought there was some mistake about it, and was greatly pleased with the cordial treatment given them and the very fine dinner served. The fine lodge room, the banquet hall and the apparent ease with which the Blackfoot ladies handled the whole affair impressed him favorably and when this same generous hospitality was duplicated at supper time, he made up his official mind that the old town must be all right.
In speaking of his teachers in the Iona school, he says, he has a good corps, and named three Blackfoot ladies and one from Lost River and Blackfoot--Misses Nannie Don Carlos, Chloe Harris, Dora Bond and May Richardson.
