Two sons of J. L. Wilcox--Harry, aged 14, and a younger brother--living in the western part of the city on Third-st., held a match to a four-pound can of wet powder on Monday to see if it would ignite. It exploded, startled the neighborhood for two blocks and caught fire to the children's clothing. Before their clothing could be torn off they were horribly burned on their faces, arms and legs. Fortunately, the accident will not prove fatal in either case, though one may be disfigured for life.
