On Sunday last the Rev. Mr. Whitefield preach'd at the Bowling-Green, Hannam-Mount, and Roe Green, to vast Multitudes. (At Rose-Green there were upwards of 20,000; at the Bowling-Green, on Monday, not less than 7 or 8000.) On Tuesday at the Brick-Yard near the Glass-Houses. On Wednesday the Church was offered at Publoe, but not being near big enough for the People, they withdrew to a Common hard by; there were forty Horse, and many got up in the Trees. On Thursday he dined with the Colliers at Two Mile Mill, and began a Subscription for a School-House to teach their Children; which met with uncommon Encouragement.
