Curfew Will Not Ring
A few months ago when Vineland introduced that up-to-date product of vicious paternalism, a curfew law for children, "The News" condemned it as both unwise and unpractical. The event has justified our opinion.
The ordinance has proved itself a nuisance and an oppression without in the smallest degree enhancing the morality of the town or its children.
The new Mayor of Vineland, Mr. Joseph Mason, has started the repeal movement and the necessary action will be taken at the next council meeting.
This is a lesson for cranks.
