Event Details
A tremendous storm of wind, hail, and rain visited the neighborhood of Washington City. Little rain fell in the city, but wind blew violently, downing trees on avenues. Between Bladensburgh and Waterloo, large trees blocked roads, making them impassable for stages on Thursday morning. The storm affected areas up to Fredericksburgh, Va., but not further north than Waterloo, 12 miles south of Baltimore.
