Mexico—The New York Express of this morning under the head of Mexico, states that a letter had been received from a source of the highest authority, dated Paris, which states that the writer had received a letter from M. Santa Maria, the Minister Plenipotentiary from Mexico, that at the Court of Madrid, which states that the treaty for the RECOGNITION OF MEXICO had been agreed upon between himself and the Spanish Government, and that the difficulties which had previously existed between the two governments had been removed, and the treaty had only to be submitted to the Cortes for their sanction.
It is said this letter came by the packet ship Havre, which arrived a few days ago. We know nothing of the facts; the information, however, is not unlikely to be correct.—N Y Eve Post.
