By the ship Fortune, Capt. Haydon, arrived here on Thursday last, in thirty five days from Amsterdam, we have received information that the following gentlemen are appointed Consuls by their High Mightinesses the United States of Holland, to the United States of America:
For Massachusetts Bay and New Hampshire--Diderick Laertouwer.
For Rhode Island and Connecticut--Christian Coenraad Backman.
For New York and New Jersey,--Herman Le Roy.
For Pennsylvania-- Jan Hendrick Christian Henneker.
For Maryland and Virginia-- Adriaan Vealk.
North and South Carolina and Georgia--Jan Boenen Graves.
And we are also told that the prospect of immediate hostilities commencing against the Republic of Holland by the Emperor of Germany, greatly agitated the whole people of Holland, and sensibly affected their commerce, so that no insurance on shipping could be obtained but on very limited conditions.
