Coroner's Inquest.—The body of Robert Simpson, about 61 years of age—whom our readers recollect was advertised in our paper a few days since as having been missing since Sunday—was discovered this morning by the mate of the brig Coromandel, floating upright in the water near India Wharf. This singular appearance was caused by two stones of several pounds weight having been tied into the lower part of his pantaloons. Coroner Snow held an inquest on the body, which resulted in a verdict of "Death by drowning— whether accidental or not, unknown." Mr. Simpson formerly belonged to Portsmouth, N. H. and has left a wife and eight children. —Merc. Journal.
