Fire Bugs.

Mt. Vernon, Iowa, July 13.-A fire occurred this morning at 9 o'clock in the third story of a brick building near the corner of Third and Washington streets. Owing to the strenuous efforts of the firemen it was confined to the building in which it originated. Loss, $5,000; fully covered with insurance. All the late fires seem to be the work of "fire bugs." Public indignation is strongly aroused. A noted gambler, Robt. Johnston, is now under arrest on suspicion of being started the Schaible fire and also the great fire of the 19th inst.
