THURSDAY, APRIL 2.
The subject of the better organization of the Militia of the United States, is again passed by, the House of Representatives having refused to take it up, when moved for by General Harrison, on Tuesday last. This decision is understood to operate as a postponement of the subject to the next session; when, according to the rule of proceeding recently adopted, it will stand for decision in its present shape, after the first week in the session, without being originated de novo, as required by former practice.
