First Missouri District Democratic Primaries to Name a Candidate for Congress.
Macon, Mo., April 17.—The special Democratic primary to select a nominee for congress from the First congressional district of Missouri was held in the ten counties constituting the district to-day. The primaries were to nominate a successor for Hon. Richard P. Giles, deceased. The candidates for the nomination were: M. Richmond, Christopher C. Fogle, James T. Lloyd, Lewis F. Cottey and David Schenck.
Returns are incomplete, and it will be Monday before it is known who has been selected to make the race.
