Last Friday a Man at the South End of this Town went into a Cistern, which had been done a few Days before without the least Difficulty, to wash it, but he expired in an Instant; two others went down to his Assistance, and had like to have shared the same Fate, for their Breath was stopped as soon as they were down, and were drawn out with great Difficulty, one had lost his Senses.---The Man that lost his Life was named Aaron Hartborn, born in Dedham, employed in all the last War, was a Serjeant in Goreham's company of Rangers, was shot through the Body at the taking of Quebec, lately came to this Town (where it is well known the Poor resort from all Quarters) from Halifax. He has left a sorrowful Widow and four small Children. It is hoped she will have Favour shewn her, especially as he is looked upon to be a serious good Woman.
