Ford Toolmakers Lose $4

Ford tool and diemakers and other employees got a leaflet from Ford Local 600 as they walked out of the Dearborn Rouge plant Sat. June 1 reading:

YOU LOST $4 TODAY

The leaflet explained that Saturday work following a legal holiday is paid at time and a half in organized shops like GM and Chrysler, while Ford pays straight time.

"If you earn $1 an hour you lost $4 today because you were NOT COVERED by a UAW-CIO contract." the union rubbed it in.
