A correspondent remarks, that the people of the back counties appear determined on war, 'within and without.' The Indian war not being sufficient on one side the Democratic Society there, in some late resolves, pointedly censure the conduct of the Supreme Executive for not engaging this country in the European war, so that we might be blessed with its horrors on both sides--and now to show how well prepared they are for foreign war, they have done every thing proper on their part, to kindle the flames of domestic war.
The President of the United States has issued a requisition for raising 12,950 of the militia of the following states, to be held in readiness to march at a moment's warning: viz.
