VETERANS TO DEDICATE $60,000 HOME

It was announced by the Joint House Committee recently the new VFW-American Legion Home situated on Emma St. next to the Lincoln Theatre, will have its official opening on Saturday, December 13, 1952.

An elaborate dedication program is being planned for the afternoon with a big dance featuring an out of town band for the evening.

The new building is one of the finest post homes in the state for veterans and is an asset to the city of Key West.

Here are some of the features of the post home: A beautiful large bar, a large dance hall, a stage big enough to have stage shows, dramas, etc; seating accommodations with balconies and floor space to place one hundred tables on the floor for dances, banquets.

So remember and mark the date on your calendar, Saturday, December 13 for one of the biggest days in the Island City.
