It is satisfactorily ascertained that Van Buren will get 167 electoral votes, and the entire opposition only 124. Majority for Van Buren 43. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Illinois have gone for him, and Mississippi also there is but little doubt.

The Electors of Connecticut met last week and gave their votes for Martin Van Buren, and Richard M. Johnson for President and Vice President.

Martin Van Buren, President elect of the United States, was 54 years of age on Monday last, the 5th inst.
