Full Text

It appears by the last accounts from England, that Lord Hillsborough, the American Secretary, has positively declared himself against paper currency, at a meeting of several colony agents who waited on him upon that head. If the colonies are restrained a paper currency, it is easy to foresee the ruinous consequences; this province in particular now labours under the greatest distress for want of a medium in trade, as we have not more than £60,000 l. now in circulation, for a province that has more than double that number of inhabitants.
