Grove Lake

The Ladies' Aid met at Mrs. Carl Kraft's home Thursday afternoon. A number from Brooten and Sauk Centre attended the meeting.

Mrs. Morise Adams and her cousin, Mrs. Fritz and children, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Nels Johnson visited at the Alfred Sundin home Friday.

Mrs. Francis Harmore enjoyed a visit from her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Horn, of Hull, Iowa, the past week. From here they went on to Britton, S. D., to visit their son and family.

Mrs. Charles Riley has been very sick the last few days, but at this writing there is a slight improvement.

Mr. Severt went to Minneapolis Sunday night to visit with relatives, returning home Tuesday night.

Lois and Dorothy Sunderlin has been staying at Alfred Sundin's while their father and mother visited in St. Elmo. Minn., Sunday and Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Aibert Schotten, of Hull, Iowa, visited at the Francis Harmon home last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Eckert, Dorothy, Willard and James Woodhall spent Sunday afternoon at the Frank Woodhall home.

Mr. and Mrs. Elias Clark visited at the Clyde Cook home Sunday.

Inar Wendlund spent Wednesday in Minneapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Woodhall visited at the Nels Johnson home Friday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Vern Beacher are moving this week to the Rob Winslow farm south of Westport.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Stephensons grand children from Minneapolis, who have spent the summer vacation in Grove Lake returned to their home for the school months.

Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Grindy returned home Sunday after spending a few days in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Frank and Louise Alexander and Mrs. Ruth Hess went to St. Cloud Sunday to meet their father and mother who came up from Minneapolis where they have been visiting their son and family.

Herman Nelson and two sons Ira and Harold attended the State Fair last week.

R. M. Hess spent last week in Minneapolis.

Ira Nelson registered for high school in Brooten last Saturday.

Some speed to Donald Santer. Since last writing he has had new silo put up and filled.

Louise Alexander who is a member of the Brooten school faculty spent Sunday at home.

The first meeting of the Grove Lake R. T. A. will meet this Thursday.

The R. N. A. met Monday evening for practice work. They intend to take in new members Wednesday night.
