MIDNIGHT FIRE BURNS
BARN NEAR GROCERY

A barn at the rear of the grocery
store of Camillo Berdanelli, Fifteenth
street and Granite avenue, was de-
stroyed by fire at midnight last night.
The origin of the fire was not deter-
mined last night.

Both the highland and lowland fire
departments answered the alarm and
the firemen quickly got the flames
under control. Large crowds of per-
sons living near the place gathered to
witness the flames which leaped high
into the air and for a time threatened
to destroy neighboring buildings.
