Full Text

Extract of a letter from Lancaster, April 13.

"The Susquehanna still continues remarkably high. Two boats are now at Wright's ferry, from above the Big Island. They came down the Conewago falls with great safety, one loaded with 200 barrels of flour, the other 1200 bushels of wheat. If they should be disappointed in a market at Wright's Ferry, they mean to proceed to Havre-de-Grace.

A number of your Lancaster friends intend going to-morrow, to see the two arrivals. The improvement of our inland navigation is a subject in which the landed interest of this country is materially interested."
