Mass Meeting for Victory Loan Drive at Headquarters Monday Afternoon.

Success of Loan Will Be Put Up to Citizens at Meeting—Plan to Go Over Top is Outlined—Every Citizen Expected.

The integrity and honor of Columbus and Lowndes county is at stake.

The patriotism of every citizen of Lowndes county will be called into account Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

The acid test will be applied to the loyalty and community pride and spirit of every citizen.

The occasion will be a meeting of citizens, every citizen in the city and county, to determine whether or not the county is to discharge its obligation to the government and to the boys who offered their all in defense of liberty and justice, in the Victory Loan drive.

Lowndes county's quota is about half subscribed and there must be determined and loyal effort and activity on the part of all the people to put the loan over the top.

Yesterday's report showed that 860 people had subscribed to the loan for a total of $215,400. Of this number 180 are employees of the Southern railway for a total of $15,800. The county's quota is $365,500, and there are only a few days left in which to bring the county up to its minimum obligation.

The meeting Monday afternoon will be held at the Victory Loan headquarters in the store formerly occupied by Gunter Bros. on Main street. It is the duty of every citizen in Columbus and Lowndes county to be present at this meeting. A definite plan of action will be offered and the proposition will be put square up to the people whether or not Lowndes county is to write her share of the loan or fail to do her duty.

Remember, and be there, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. This call is to every citizen, regardless of committee organization.
