AFRICAN COLONIZATION.

We have read, with great pleasure, the pamphlet account of the proceedings of a Meeting held at Princeton, New Jersey, to form a Society in the state of New Jersey, to co-operate with the American Colonization Society. The meeting was held on the 14th of the last month, and the chair was most worthily occupied by ROBERT FIELD STOCKTON, esq. of the U. States' Navy, whose noble services to the infant Colony have inseparably associated his name with that settlement, which is the nucleus, we trust, of a mighty nation. The address of Lieutenant Stockton, on taking the chair, does him great credit, and the addresses of James S. Green, esq. and the Rev. Doct. Greens, were worthy of the occasion. The Rev. Mr. Boyd also addressed some interesting observations to the meeting. A constitution for an auxiliary society was then unanimously agreed to, and officers appointed, the Chairman of the Meeting being appointed President of the Society, and some of the most respectable citizens in the state being named as Vice Presidents, Managers, honorary Members, &c.
