Full Text
Politicians.—The Flag has a remarkably clever and incisive article "Concerning Politicians," which contains a deal of good sense. The papers that are most vociferous in howling at "Politicians" ought to have intelligence enough to know that the machinery of a free government cannot be worked without this much berated class. The fact is, that most of the ferocious diatribes of the Bulletin and Call against "politicians" are utterly senseless, and the Flag very justly and picturesquely likens them to "the querulous outcry of a dry axletree."—Dramatic Chronicle.
