The periods of service of the present Senators of Congress, expire the 3d of March next, viz:
Hon. Mr. Bibb, of Georgia; Brown, of Louisiana; Condict, of New-Jersey; Howell, of Rhode-Island; Eppes, of Virginia; Talbot, of Kentucky; Taylor, of South-Carolina; Thompson, of New-Hampshire; Turner, of North-Carolina; Varnum, of Massachusetts; Wells, of Delaware; and Williams, of Tennessee.
Mr. Troup has been elected in Georgia, vice Mr. Bibb. Mr. Condict is re-elected. The Hon. James Burrill has been appointed in Rhode-Island, vice Mr. Howell. In New-Hampshire, the Hon. Mr. Morrill has been appointed, vice Mr. Thompson. In Massachusetts, the Hon. Mr. Otis has been appointed, vice Mr. Varnum. The Hon. Mr. Turner declines being a candidate for re-election, and has resigned his seat in the present Congress.
Kentucky.—Hon. Martin D. Hardin, appointed pro tem. Senator of the United States, vice W. T. Barry, resigned.
