Thunderous Applause Greets Proposals of President Taft.

London, April 29.—The greatest applause ever made for world's peace were sounded in a Guild hall mass-meeting to endorse President Taft's proposal for an arbitration treaty between America and England. Asquith and Balfour, the Lord Mayor and others spoke warmly in favor of the proposed treaty. A meeting will be held to allow the middle classes an opportunity to express opinions. An immense throng was present. Thunderous applause showed that the plan is unanimously favored.
