A Saloon Floor of Silver.
Hon. Charles Smith who has been elected four terms as member of the New York Assembly by the republicans has just fitted up a gilded saloon--the most gorgeous possibly in New York. It is called "The Silver Dollar." It derives its name from the fact that the floor is inlaid with silver dollars and the handles of the beer pumps are mounted with the same coin. How can a party move forward towards suppressing the saloon with such a load?--The Rising Tide.
