Full Text
Observations on the Transit of Venus.
Among the minor results of the observations there are two points of importance established. The exact measurement of the disk of Venus, never possible before because of the glare of the planet in a telescope, has now been attained. The atmosphere of Venus has been found to contain the vapor of water-a fact which will be added to the number of proofs already accumulated that all the members of our solar system had in the remote past a common origin.-New York Tribune.
