A number of persons charged with various violations of the Maryland Motor Vehicle law appeared before Trial Magistrate Robert Maroney in Oakland during the past week, while quite a few forfeited collateral in lieu of making an appearance. David George Moore, of Deer Park, operating without license, fined $100 and costs and remanded to 30 days in jail in default. On another charge of reckless driving, he was fined $25.00 and costs and given a 25 day jail sentence, the two to run consecutively. Emory Bidd, Markleysburg, Pa., failure to obey stop sign, forfeited collateral of $5.00. Annie Marie Warnick, Luke, operating without a license, forfeited collateral of $10.00. Harold Samuel Warnick, Luke, permitting an unauthorized person to operate a motor vehicle, forfeited $10.00 collateral. Glenn Marvin Lee, Bloomington, operating without a license, forfeited $10.00 collateral. Charles Lee Clary, Mt. Lake Park, failure to drive to the right of center of the roadway, forfeited $10.00 collateral. William Wilson, Barton, reckless driving, forfeited $10.00 collateral. John Sherman Holtschneider, Deer Park, exceeding 50 miles per hour, forfeited $10.00 collateral. Charles James Ridenaur, Kingwood, W. Va., operating on an expired registration, fine of $10.00 suspended. William Raymond Glotfelty, Accident, driving with expired plates, forfeited $10.00 collateral. Irvin Allen Buskirk, Frostburg, exceeding 50 miles per hour, forfeited $5.00 collateral. Helen Cecile Judy, Route 2, Oakland, improper passing, forfeited $5.00 collateral. Forrest Linnal Boyce, Swanton, permitting an unauthorized person to operate, forfeited collateral of $25.00. Merle Franklin Metheney, Route 1, Oakland, operating without a Maryland driver's permit, pleaded not guilty and case dismissed.
