A white teenager was admitted to a local emergency hospital for surgical treatment of multiple stab wounds after officials were informed that he had been attacked by an unknown man near Decatur St., early Saturday morning.
Police identified the injured white youth as Samuel Edgar Cowhern, 18, of a Milledge Ave., S. E., address. He suffered two stab wounds in the chest, one stab wound in the abdomen and a knife slash on the left side of his face.
Police said they attempted to question Cowhern, but that the youth was in no condition to talk at the time of their official investigation.
Patrolmen B. C. Weller and D. W. Britt said an attending physician told them that the white youth reported on arrival at the hospital that he was on Hill St. just south of Decatur St., when he was assaulted by a Negro man with a pocket knife.
No other information was immediately available regarding the stabbing incident, and police reported later Saturday that they had no suspects in connection with the attack.
