THE ART OF DRESSING.
Elegant Details of the Fashionable Toilet.

To be elegantly dressed it is not enough to have a perfectly fitting and suitable gown and hat to correspond. The most telling touches are in the little individual details of the toilet. The veil, the fresh gloves, the parasol handle, the handkerchief, the buttons of the bodice, all these are what give the finish.

Tailor made gowns imply shirt waists for warm weather. These when of silk have a collar of velvet, with incrustations of lace and fringes of steel beads. The belt is of fawn or white kid or in ribbon, with an empire gold buckle.

Plaited skirts are to last through the summer. The Louise Seize skirt, gathered all around the waist, is also to be worn with a round bodice. Very thin materials are employed for the latter novelty, which is well suited to muslins, batistes, etc.
